Humming is soothing. We hum when content, we hum to comfort children, it’s the only sound we can make when we’re smiling. Ohmmmmm…
HUMMM uses humming and breath extension to help us find a restful state. It uses sound and light to immerse you in a soundscape. It’s a headphones thing, but you can share the experience with others on good speakers. HUMMM is free to try too
A hum is a long out breath. Extending our out-breath is a well-known shortcut to calm. It triggers the Parasympathetic Nervous System which regulates the ‘rest and digest’ state of our body.
And the sound waves of a hum stimulate the Vagus Nerve that runs past our voice box, through which the PNS regulates our vital organs.
You’ll find HUMMM helpful when you ‘re feeling anxious or restless (in a ‘fight or flight’ state). It’ll leave you feeling tranquil, or thinking more clearly or ready for sleep. You control the environment and weather, you can even have your device flash fill your space with lightning.
You go deep when you HUMMM…
The vid below is best with headphones. WARNING: Flashing Lights.
